Presnell Pond Gate

Grandson Ryan visits next week and I've thought about taking him fishing. Well, earlier this spring, I became aware of the spawning activity in the pond on the Presnell's property across our back fence. There are certainly bream and I've seen a much bigger shadow cruising the pond and we hear occasional loud splashes. I sought and received permission for Ryan to catch & release fish in the pond.

Access to the pond was problematic, had to cross fence in a spot where a tree had fallen and knocked it partly down but that was still going to be difficult for Ryan. I straightened the fence and constructed a crude gate, not on hinges but held closed by five wires. Can open the gate by detaching the wires. Many trees line the pond bank and casting a line won't be easy. It'll give us something to work on.
